Gilded Sleeping Vixen pendant

An etched vixen sleeps under the stars, moon gold leaf on glass, set in an embellished sterling silver setting with brass star detailing on the reverse. 

My new collection brings together gilding, glass, and jewellery making celebrating the wildlife and woodlands of Cornwall and all the treasures and magic to be found on country walks within the Cornish landscape.

This collection draws inspiration from the ancient art of verre églomisé, a timeless technique where delicate layers of gold leaf are floated onto the back of glass and etched in reverse to create intricate, enchanting designs.

Returning to this craft after years away has been like reconnecting with an old friend, adapting it to the intimate scale of jewellery has transformed it into an entirely new adventure for me. 

Because of its nature, each piece is a one off and unique to the next, so although designs can be replicated by my fair hand there will of course be variations and different personalities to each piece.
