Gilded Miniatures

 

Each piece begins as hand cut glass, individually shaped and prepared before being water gilded using fine gold and silver leaf. 

Designs/ motifs/ talisman are then hand etched into the gilded surface using a reverse glass technique inspired by verre églomisé. 

Every talisman created from glass and gold leaf is then backed and sealed. 

Once sealed each one then has its own hand crafted silver setting made that speaks to the subject or design of the piece.


Drawn to simple forms and subtle details, jewellery that feels personal, like something found rather than bought. I spend time refining shapes, textures and finishes until they feel just right.

At its heart, my jewellery is about connection, to a place or a memory, and to the small things that often mean the most.
